Iceland

Almost 2M people visited Iceland in 2019. While the number is incredible if you compare it to the country population (short of 370’000), it’s quite easy to understand why so many tourists pick this wonderful destination: its natural beauty is almost surreal and for such a small island, it has so much to offer! From magnificent glaciers, lava fields and active volcanos to boiling hot springs… nature is king.

  • Natural beauty and scenery
  • Volcanos (some of which still active), lava fields, geysers and hot springs
  • Incredible glaciers
  • Viking history

The climate in Iceland is what you’d expect from an island in the north: cold, windy and cloudy most of the year.

  • High: from May to August
  • Shoulder: from September to mid-October and April
  • Low: winter months (November  to March)
  • Language: Icelandic
  • Currency: EURO (EUR)
  • Drives on the: right
  • Timezone: UTC +0
  • Credit Cards: Accepted almost everywhere
